A 'floater' on a slide of a trephine biopsy specimen.
Pieces of "foreign" tissue may be found on slides of trephine biopsy sections as a result of contamination of a section by a 'floater' in a water bath. It is important to recognize that this is an artefact. It is not really within the piece of bone marrow tissue but it is clearly a separate tissue and may be present on only one slide.
