How to make the most of BloodMed.com

Site navigation

Home page - you will see a selection of the latest content drawn from the specialty sections. Click on any of the links for more information.
Main menu - found in the lefthand column, allows you to go directly to the content which relates to a particular specialty, chosen by the Section Editor. Within the sections, you will see a range of features including selected literature, journal information, and articles written specially for BloodMed.com. You will find self-assessment exercises in the section called Trainees and CPD.

Search

To search the whole site, simply enter your search term into the box at the top of the page. For more search options, for example to search within one specific section, or to search the archive, click on ‘Advanced’.

• How do I submit ideas or content to BloodMed.com?
  If you have any general comments or suggestions, please contact the Managing Editor: trayne@wiley.com. Some pages on the site (e.g. Calendar, Patient Information) invite users to submit content directly to the editors. You will see a button for this purpose on the relevant pages.
  
  
• How do I register for BloodMed.com?

• Who decides on which content appears on the site?
  The team of Section Editors, under the supervision of the Editors-in-Chief. Click on ‘Profiles’ to see the members of the team.
  
  
• Are there any restrictions on the use of content appearing on BloodMed.com?
  You are free to download, save, or print any original content appearing on the site (e.g. BloodMed Exclusives, slides), for your own personal use or use in teaching, provided that you acknowledge the original source. For previously published material, such as journal articles, the restrictions of the relevant copyright holder apply.
  
  
• How should I refer to content appearing on BloodMed.com?
  Previously published articles should be cited in full as normal. You should cite the BloodMed Exclusives as follows: Author, Title (Year) Section, BloodMed.com. For example, Auer R, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia in the 21st Century (2002) Lymphoid Malignancy, BloodMed.com.
  
  
• For how long does content remain on the site?
  Content is added to BloodMed.com regularly and replaces older content. Older content is permanently a available in the Archive. Use ‘Advanced’ search to find content which is no longer displayed on main pages.
  
  
• Why does the BJH link not work?
  The link to BJH (British Journal of Haematology) on BloodMed.com takes you to Wiley Online Library (WOL). In order to access the BJH via WOL, you must have a valid personal subscription or be a full member of an Institution with a valid subscription. All members of the British Society for Haematology can access BJH online via the Members’ Area on the BSH website.
